Hydro Cable Systems: Subsea / Underwater Cables

Hydro Cable Systems designs and manufactures a range of electrical, optical and hybrid cables suitable for use underwater and in harsh subsea environments. Our extensive knowledge of materials and applications engineering combine to manufacture high quality and reliable products, ideally suited for their environment. High grade materials such as polyurethane and polyethylene are used during manufacture to produce cables with superior abrasion resistance, strength, flexibility and reliability.

Hydro Cable Systems increased its industry capabilities over the years and is now heavily involved in Ministry of Defence and Renewable Energy projects. The company is seen throughout the world as a preferred suppliers of subsea electrical, optical and hybrid underwater cables.

Hydro Cable Systems are able to manufacture complete cable harnesses at short notice and are able to supply short lengths to customers for system trials and system design proofing.

One Team Two Companies Unique Strength: The growth of Hydro Bond Engineering in the 80s gave birth to Hydro Cable Systems, creating a combined working strength of engineering excellence and industry proven expertise.

Today, Hydro Cable Systems and Hydro Bond Engineering currently operate under the holding company Hydro Group plc, headquartered in Aberdeen.
